OBITUARY
MR. HEINRICH FUCHS
The death of Mr. Heinrich Fuchs, aged 84 years and 4 months, occurred yesterday evening. A well-known and respected pioneer of the Pocket and Island Ulantation. The late Mr. Fuchs was the second son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Fuchs of the Pocket. From a boy he was engaged in farming at the Pocket and the greater part of his life at the Island Plantation. He was a foundation member of the Excelsior Lodge, No. 1 P.A.F.S.OA. He is survived by his wife (Mrs. A. Fuchs) and a family of one son and four daughters. The son is Mr. Henry Carl (Island Plantation), and the daughters Mesdames H. Rasmussen and W. Scheffler (Island Plantation), W. Sommerfeld (Murgon) and W. Schmidt (Granville). There are 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. There are also two brothers, Messrs. August and Carl Fuchs (Maryborough), and four sisters, Mrs. Gus Meyers (Tiaro), Mrs. M. Zahn (Bundaberg ), Mrs. M. Rosendale (Townsville), and Mrs. B. Jabs (Mary borough ). The funeral takes place this afternoon, at 2.30 o'clock, from the Lutheran Church, John-street.
