DEATH OF MRS PARKIN
A very estimable resident of the district, Mrs W. H. Parkin (Betsy), died at her residence, Victoria. Street, on Wednesday evening, at the age of 51 years. Deceased had been ailing for about 15 years, and bore her suffering heroically and with that cheerfulness that was her natural characteristic. Her death is deeply regretted by the residents of the district, in which she was held in the highest esteem.
Mrs Parkin was the daughter of the late Mr Edward Sheppeard, and of Mrs Sheppeard, now living at Campsie. She was born at Lithgow, and as a girl resided with her parents at Meadow Flat. She was married in Sydney a Mr. W. H Parkin, and had lived in St, Marys since.
She leaves four sons and three daughters William, Alexander Mrs Duff (Cootamundra), Mrs Payne (St. Marys, Evelyn, Max, Harold and Reg and three grandchildren. Mrs Parkin is also survived by two brothers and four sisters, including Mr Alex Sheppeard (Canterbury), Mr Jack Sheppeard (Lithgow), Mrs Toole (Taranna), and Mrs KeIIy (Campsie)
THe funeral took place this Friday afternoon, the interment being, in the Methodist portion of St. Marys general cemetery. Rev. D. C. Hughes conducted the service.

Betsy Parkin applied for an order to prevent her husband, William Henry Parkin, from drinking liquor to excess, thereby, impairing his health. The Bench made an order for twelve months.
