The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. W. Hamilton and Family, Gordonvale, Miss. M. E. Sidey, 3 Martin Street, East Innisfail, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Sidey, Lake-street, Cairns, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Sidey and Family, 13 Gladys-street, Innisfail, Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Sidey and Family, corner Upward and Archer Streets, Cairns, and Mr. and Mrs. S. Archer and Family, West Esplanade, East Innisfail, are respectfully invited to attend the funeral of their late beloved mother and grandmother, FANNY ELIZA SIDEY, which will move from the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Cairns, after the service starting at 11 o'clock THIS (MONDAT) MORNING, en route to the Cairns Cemetery, Martyn-street.

Narrative

MRS. F. E. SIDEY.
The death occurred on Saturday morning of Mrs. Fanny Eliza Sidey at the residence of her son, Mr. A. J. Sidey, of Gladys-street. Innisfail, at the age of 81 years.
Deceased was born in Dorsetshire, England, and came to Cairns in 1874 in what is thought to be one of the first ships to enter the port. The late Mrs. Sidey was married at the age of 18 years to Mr. Arthur John Sidey, of Cairns. Her husband died 34 years ago.
Mr. Sidey was the proprietor of an early Cairns livery stables. Mrs. Sidey went to live at Innisfail in 1939 and stayed with her daughter, Miss. M. E. Sidey, of Martin-street.
The deceased had been in indifferent health for some time and had been staying with her son for the fortnight immediately before her death.
She is survived by three daughters. Elizabeth (Mrs. W. Hamilton, Gordonvale), Mary (East Innisfail), Fanny (Mrs. S. Archer, East Innisfail), and three sons, Arthur (Cairns), Alfred (Innisfail), and Thomas (Cairns).
The funeral will move to the Cairns cemetery from the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Severin-street Cairns, after a service commencing at 11 o'clock to-day. Rev. Slade will officiate.
