MORSE. — In loving memory or our beloved son and brother, Vernon Eustace Morse, killed in action in France, 4th October, 1917, aged 24 years.
Under the flag of the five-starred cross,
The pride of the southern seas,
He laid down his life in a deadly strife.
To keep Australia free.
Somowhere in France they have laid him,
Our hero so brave and true,
Only a lad in khaki.
Fighting for me and you.
Inserted by his loving mother, father, sisters, and brother.
