MRS. SARAH SHEPPEARD
 DEATH OF OLD LITHGOW RESIDENT
 Mrs. Sarah Ann Sheppeard, who died in Lithgow hospital this morning, had lived in Lithgow practically all her life, and had witnessed the growth of the town from a tiny village to its present proportions.
She was in her 67th year. Mrs. Sheppeard was born at Crudine, in the Mudgee district. Her husband, Mr. W. T. Sheppeard, died in Lithgow about seven years ago.
During the past year or two her health had been unsatisfactory and she had been in hospital a number of times.
She was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday last.
The deceased is survived by five sons — Messrs. George, Cyrus, Ernest, Cyril and Harold Sheppeard, all of Lithgow; four brothers — Messrs. Luke, George and Ernest Wright (Lithgow) and Joseph Wright (Wollongong) ; and two sisters— Mrs. Brown (Annandale) and Mrs. Gray.
The funeral has been set down for tomorrow, the cortege to leave Messrs. Matthews and Lemon's parlors at 3 p.m. for the Church of England cemetery, Bowenfels.
