FAMILY COINCIDENCES
 September 11 has played a peculiar part in the lives of the Delaney family in Lithgow. The mother - Mrs. Sarah Delaney—died on Monday—a son's birthday—at the age of 87. Two other members of the family, a son and daughter, were also born on September 11 but both are now dead, and the daughter was buried on her birthday eight years ago. Nine members of the family of 13 were born during September.

Narrative

LITHGOW— Two more pioneers of Lithgow and district have died, making 12 within 16 days. They are Mrs. Sarah Delaney, 88, and Jos. Walters. 76. Mrs. Delaney first crossed the Mountains 85 years ago, and lived for some years at the old toll-house. Mount Victoria, and later at the Bowenfels toll-gate.
