OBITUARY
MR. H. J. OAKLEY After ailing for about a year, Mr Horace James Oakley, of Failford, passed away in the MRD Hospital at 6.30 pm on Wednesday. He was a son of the late Mr and Mrs Samuel Oakley, and was born at Tamworth 61 years ago. Upon attaining manhood he engaged in farming pursuits in the Tamworth and Maitland districts until about 30 years ago, when he came to Failford, and spent the rest of his life on the Wallamba.Mr, Oakley was a hard working man who enjoyed the goodwill of a wide circle of friends. He is survived by his widow and the following children: - Mr Albert Jas. Oakley (Failford) ; Pte. George Thomas Oakley (AIF); Messrs Arthur and Leslie (at home); Horace. (Bucca Walka) ; Mrs Del Lawrence (Sydney) ; Mr. Leo. Gorton (Nabiac), and Miss Kathleen Oakley (at home). A service was conducted at Mr W. T.
