THE immigrants of the Southern Ocean gave vent to their excited feelings on landing in a very demonstrative manner in the depot on Monday night. Several of the men, and two of the females, came to blows, and the confusion became so great that the police were called in, when quiet was restored. Some very pleasing traits of conjugal affection were also displayed-the married men strongly objected to being separated from their wives.
